Submetering is the technology that allows you to measure the supply of electricity to smaller consuming meters that are fed off of a main meter. More than simply allocating the consumption, submetering allows for the cost distribution to be legally calculated - and for these costs to be recovered.
What does this mean to you?
If you are a condominium or apartment you can install submeters in individual suites and bill your tenants for the electricity, water or gas they are consuming. Once this has taken place, Solution 105 will create monthly "Read and Bill" statements that will breakdown each meter's consumption and associated costs. These statements can be issued to your tenants (either by you or Solution 105) - and you can recover these costs.
